Information we collect
- Newsletter and download sign-ups. Your name and email address, which newsletter or download you signed up for, and the date and time you signed up.
- Purchases. When you buy a training product, payment is handled by Stripe. We receive your name, email address, and order details. We do not receive or store your full card number.
- Messages to us. Anything you send to our support email address, including your email address.
- Site usage. Standard information about how the site is used, such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and the page that referred you. This is collected through Google Analytics and the Google Ads tag, which use cookies or similar technologies, and through our hosting provider’s server logs.
How we use it
- To send you the newsletter or download you asked for, including a welcome email.
- To deliver and support products you purchase, and to send order-related emails.
- To measure which posts and pages are working, and to improve the site and our content.
- To measure the results of our advertising.
- To respond to your questions and keep our records, including a record that you unsubscribed so we do not email you again.
- To keep our services secure and to detect and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To keep accounting and tax records and to comply with the law.
We do not use your personal information to make automated decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party marketing.
Service providers who handle your information
We use these providers to run the site and our email. Each handles information under its own terms and privacy policy:
- Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Power Automate and Outlook), where our subscriber list is kept and our emails are sent.
- Stripe, for payment processing.
- Google (Analytics and Ads), for site and advertising measurement.
- Netlify, which hosts this website.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it or to protect our rights.
If Ussen Technologies is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of some or all of its assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will give notice before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Email and unsubscribing
Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time. After you unsubscribe we stop sending newsletter emails to that address. You can also write to support@ussentechnologies.com and we will remove you.
Cookies
Google Analytics and the Google Ads tag may set cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though some measurement will not. Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is no common standard for responding to it, our site does not currently respond differently to it.
How long we keep information
We keep subscriber records while you are subscribed and after you unsubscribe, so that we honor your opt-out. We keep order records as long as needed to support your purchase and meet our business and tax obligations. Ask us if you would like your information deleted.
Your choices
You may ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email us at the address above. We may need to confirm it is you before acting, and we may keep information we are required to keep. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state’s privacy laws. Email us and we will honor requests as the law that applies to you requires.
Security
We use reputable services with access controls to protect information, but no method of storing or sending data is completely secure. If a breach of system security affects your sensitive personal information, we will notify affected individuals without unreasonable delay and no later than 60 days after we determine a breach occurred, as Texas law requires. If a breach affects 250 or more Texas residents, we will also notify the Texas Attorney General within 30 days. We destroy or make unreadable sensitive personal information when we no longer need it for business purposes.
Where your information is processed
Our site and newsletters are operated from, and directed to, the United States. If you visit from another country, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those where you live.
Children
Our site and newsletters are meant for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
This site links to our pages on LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram. When you interact with our pages or posts there, for example by commenting, messaging us, or clicking a link, that platform collects information under its own privacy policy and may share limited performance data with us. We do not control those platforms or their privacy practices.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date above shows when it last changed.
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute about it is subject to the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas.
